Future Housing: Passive House as the Foundation of All Housing Standards

FUTURE HOUSING: Passive House as the Foundation of All Housing Standards

For our December open meeting we were joined by Colin Booth, Managing Director at Placetailor, discussing the theme of Future Housing and how Passive House can be the foundation of all housing standards. Over the last 14 years, Boston-based Placetailor has delivered consistently, exclusively, Passive House, Net Zero Energy, and Net Zero Carbon level housing, and credit their integrated development, design, build, R&D co-operative model as their most important “technology” for achieving so many influential ‘firsts’. Colin will share some key previous work, as well as the current efforts to achieve their mission of “carbon and community” through CLT, prefab systems, affordable housing, and market-rate projects.
